Our
English Setters are exciting to watch work. "LOCKING UP" on
a bird gets the heart pumping while giving the hunter a chance to get
into position for the fast pheasant action. |

Native
grasses such as Little Blue Stem, Big Blue Stem, Red Clovers and Bromegrass
grow throughout the preserve. The natural growth provides an excellent
habitat for pheasants and other upland birds. Loess Hills Preserve participates in C.R.P. (Conservation Reserve Program) for the preservation of natural grasslands and wildlife habitat. |
