Pheasant Hunting
The Loess Hills Preserve is a hunting preserve expanding over 900 acres of the beautiful Loess Hills of Northwest Iowa.
Preserve Pheasant Season Sept. 1 - March 31

This secluded preserve offers the finest pheasant hunting within a natural wildlife habitat.
Our English Setters are exciting to watch work. "LOCKING UP" on a bird gets the heart pumping while giving the hunter a chance to get into position for the fast pheasant action.
Native grasses such as Little Blue Stem, Big Blue Stem, Red Clovers and Bromegrass grow throughout the preserve. The natural growth provides an excellent habitat for pheasants and other upland birds.

Loess Hills Preserve participates in C.R.P. (Conservation Reserve Program) for the preservation of natural grasslands and wildlife habitat.

One of our newest recruits "SAM", was entered in the Okoboji Dog Challenge in March of 2006. Sam scored 296pts which placed him 1st in the Amateur Pointer Division. Congratulations Sam!!
